Client Testimonial: SCACAP Board Training Retreat
We thought an appropriate way to start 2018 would be with a client letter. This letter comes from Jessica McMoore, Executive Director of the South Carolina Association of Community Action Partnerships (SCACAP).
The Gravely Group CEO, Melvin Gravely, attended the 2017 Statewide Board Training Retreat for the SCACAP in early December 2017. He presented four workshops on a variety of board management topics, including bylaws, fiscal health, and effective meetings.
Here’s what Ms. McMoore has to say about Mel’s workshops at the retreat:
On behalf of the South Carolina Association of Community Action Partnerships (SCACAP), we would like to thank you for your support in making the 2017 Tenth Annual Statewide Board Training Retreat held on November 30- December 2, 2017 at the North Charleston Marriott, 4770 Goer Drive, North Charleston, South Carolina a great success. We hope that you had an educational experience and a pleasurable stay at the North Charleston Marriott.
Your workshops on “Board Responsibilities to Ensure Fiscal Health and Fiduciary Accountability”, “Board Duties of Care, Loyalty and Obedience”, “Comprehensive Bylaws”, and “Understanding Your Role and Conducting Effective Meetings” was most informative and very much appreciated. We were delighted about the wonderful responses to the overall Evaluation Surveys. The surveys suggested that the conference provided excellent information and training to the attendees.
Thank you again for your support to our cause. We look forward to a continued mutually rewarding partnership in our efforts to develop statewide training to improve the knowledge, skills, and accountability of the Governing Body and Key Management Staff of the Community Action Network, one day and one individual at a time.
For your utmost respect and cooperation, we remain.
Sincerely,
Jessica McMoore
Executive Director
