Head Start Director, Yvette Dobbs, with the Social Development Commission in Milwaukee, WI, recently shared a letter with The Gravely Group about head trainer, Melvin Gravely. We want to share that letter with you.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter for the Gravely Group. We at the Social Development Commission Head Start truly appreciate the hard work that the Gravely Group has provided to our program. We have used Melvin Gravely on several occasions over the years and have always been very satisfied with the outcomes.

Melvin Gravely has a great rapport with our staff. We look to the Gravely Group to guide our countywide team in program governance guidelines. I love to hear the staff reference ideas Melvin has said after he has departed. I know they have taken notes and are working to establish great relationships with the parents.

The Gravely Group has also trained our parents for the past few years. Melvin had trained SDC parents in all aspects of program governance and how to conduct a meeting in great detail. The material was presented in such an insightful way that even someone who has no prior knowledge of the topic leaves feeling empowered. He is extremely competent on the Federal Performance Standards. He is very supportive of parents that have had questions or concerns and he also provides excellent technical assistance.

We will continue to utilize his expertise in as many areas as possible and would recommend him to anyone.
