In alignment with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Part 1301: Program Governance, each agency is required to establish and maintain a formal governance structure, including both a governing Board and a Policy Council. These bodies are responsible for providing oversight and direction to ensure the program operates in compliance with federal mandates while supporting high-quality ervices for children and families. This training will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of governance roles and responsibilities, internal policies, and the collaborative structure necessary for strong, compliant, and effective program operations.

- Describe the required composition, roles, and responsibilities of both the Board and Policy Council under the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
