Focus Area Two Monitoring Training
Accurate monitoring practices are crucial for compliance. Whether you have been selected for monitoring this year or anticipate one in the years ahead, this training allows you to effectively prepare your teams and systems to meet and exceed Head Start Program compliance. We offer trainings on both Focus Area One and Focus Area Two. Our monitoring trainings are designed to help Head Start programs stay in compliance and mitigate any risk factors in advance of the review. Head Start leaders can avoid risking their program services and funds by learning from a seasoned monitoring expert with advanced knowledge of the Head Start Monitoring Protocols and the common pitfalls that lead to non-compliant reviews. Trainings are lead by a long-term seasoned Head Start Monitoring leader, who has sat on both sides of the monitoring process.
What is the Focus Area Two Monitoring Review?
The Focus Area Two Monitoring Review is the Office of Head Start’s opportunity to ensure programs can demonstrate effectively, high-quality programming that promotes positive outcomes and kindergarten readiness for enrolled children and families. This data-driven monitoring event is designed to expand the Office of Head Start’s understanding of a grant recipient’s performance and to make certain it meets the regulatory requirements of the Head Start Program Performance Standards, the Code of Federal Regulations, and the Head Start Act.
This monitoring review is an onsite demonstration-based review. Programs are expected to describe systems and practices that meet and exceed their regulatory agencies and must, in turn, provide documentation that validates these systems and practices.
